ALLAN, John Carsten

Passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on January 17, 2018 in his 57th year. Survived by the love of his life and best friend Cathy (nee Montag). Cherished Dad of Ashley. Loving son of Helga and the late Bruce Allan. Dearly loved brother of David (Kim), Brian (Carla) and Victoria Bergsma (Mike). Son-in -law of Clare and Roseann Montag. Brother-in-law of Mike (Bev), Jennifer (Chris) Book and Amy (Travis) Robertson. John worked for Canada Post and was known as the “Singing Mailman”. He had a love for baseball, bowling and hockey, especially the Chicago Blackhawks. His sudden passing will be mourned by many great friends and family who loved him dearly. In keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place from 1-4 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Grantham Lions Club (732 Niagara Street St. Catharines). Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
