Van DYKE, Alan Roy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on April 3, 2022 at the age of 88. Alan will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his devoted wife of 68 years, Lena. His career began at Canadian Marconi, while later becoming the Founder/Owner of Purtron Electronics and also Quadtek Electronics. After retirement Alan served as Rectors Warden at St. George’s Church in St. Catharines in 1982 and 1983. Alan’s compassionate interests and support for many charities continued throughout his life. The love of travel took both Lena and Alan around the world. In his later years, he was troubled by ill health but maintained a good attitude and positive outlook. In keeping with Alan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service was held to celebrate Alan’s life.
