LETHBY, Blake Haven

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Haven at NHS-Port Colborne on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 79 years of age. Haven was predeceased by his wife, Susan (nee High). He will be deeply missed by his siblings: Lilli (late Glenn), Larry (Karen), Joan (late Ron), Nancy (Larry), Karen (Jim), Brenda and the late Carl. He was a brother-in-law of Barbara Troyan and Arlene High. Haven was an uncle to many and their families. Predeceased by his parents: Harry & Hazel. He valued his relationships with his friends. We would like to thank the many nurses and the Dr. Scher for taking good care of him on SW 2nd Floor. In honouring Haven’s wishes a private family graveside service will be held at Rockway Cemetery. Memorial donations to Rockway Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144. Online condolences may be made at

Haven was a very hard working man . I met him when he worked at my father's sawmill in Rockway in the 1950's. I went to school with his brother Carl in Jordan. I have not seen Haven for many years but all my memories of him are good ones. My sympathy to the family. Bill Hallett

Our deepest condolences to all the family, you are all in our thoughts & prayers. Haven was a cousin and sometimes would stop by Mom & Dad's(Jack & Mary) when he was out for a drive. He always had a smile & a story to tell.

My sincere condolences to Haven’s entire family. Uncle Haven was such a kind hearted, gentle man who always made time for everyone. He always ensured to connect with you through easy conversation and to share a couple laughs. He was an Uncle-through-association to many and always treated me like family at every Troyan/High gathering and when Allyson and I would drop by to visit him and Auntie Susan. I had the pleasure of knowing uncle Haven for more than 45 years and will miss him dearly.

We are all very sad to say goodbye to “Uncle Haven”. If we weren’t experiencing COVID restrictions, the High family would be there en mass to help celebrate his life. He will be fondly remembered as a wonderful brother in law and uncle who got such a kick out of the kids and they loved him too. Sending you off with warm hugs Haven. Rest In Peace.
