FERREIRA, Claude Faustinus “Chuck”
Tragically, after a sudden and unexpected massive brain hemorrhage, Chuck Ferreira has passed away at NHS-St. Catharines Site on January 24, 2022 at 64 years of age. Beloved husband of Julie for 43 years. He was the love of her life; they met in grade 5 and married in 1978. They shared a love of their fur babies; Digbey and Brynley and others in the past. Chuck was predeceased by his mother, Vilma (nee Dow), whom he loved dearly and missed tremendously and his brother, Ray. Loving brother of Steve & his wife, Claire, and Desiree & her husband, Ian. He was Uncle Chuck of Kristin and her husband, Shaun, Shannon & her husband, Patrick, Samantha, Melissa and Kevin & his wife, Rosalie and Great-Uncle Chuck of Sydney, Keana, Siena, Leah and Scarlett. He was larger than life and when he was near it was easy to know as he was often telling and retelling stories entertaining everyone. He was a real people person and made so many long-lasting friendships; after meeting Chuck – you had a friend for life. He had a HUGE heart and was willing to help anyone in need. Chuck enjoyed fishing, cottaging along with travelling to Hawaii several times for the NFL Pro Bowl. He loved nothing more than his annual trips with Julie in Barbados where they could relax and connect with long-time friends and family; it was his happy place. In honouring Chuck’s wishes a private family funeral service has taken place followed by cremation. When circumstances allow, a big bash/Celebration of Life will be held to celebrate his memory for close friends and family. Memorial donations to the Jays Care Foundation would be appreciated.
