1940 to April 30, 2022
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital (Burlington), with family by his side. Predeceased by his parents: Marjory (Dowsley) and Ray H. Bissell; and sister, Diana (Bissell) Wilson. Dear brother of Barbara (Bissell) Brock. Survived by nephews: Geoffrey Brock (Karen), Ian Brock (Betty), and six nieces and nephews and their partners. Retired from a long career with Coutts Library Services Ltd.. A lifelong bachelor, Dave devoted his time to his many passions. A long-time member of the Track Niagara, he was a talented golfer and tennis player. Dave travelled widely as a birder, developed interesting theories on multiple issues and was a great storyteller. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed winters in Vero Beach, Florida. Parkinson’s disease took its toll, though frustrated, Dave never gave up being active. In honouring David’s wishes cremation has taken place. Interment in Brockville at a later date.
