Surrounded by her family, at Extendicare, on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 76 years of age. Beloved wife of John. Cherished Mum of Donna Macoretta and her husband, Jack Goss; and Steven and his wife, Sandy Gibson. Proud Nana of of her grandchildren; Sydney and Ashlyn Macoretta and Caitlin and Brodie Gibson. Stepmother of Jeff Orchard and his wife, Trisha; Catharine and her husband Chris Berghuis; and Amanda Orchard. Stepgrandmother of Heather, Adelaide, Lauchlan Orchard; Josiah, Micah, and Dane Berghuis; and Adrianne, Asalynne and Avalee Orchard. Dear sister of Margaret, Danny, Ian, David Cowan and Marie Azodi. Predeceased by her father, Daniel (Joyce) and mother, Mary (John McMutrie); stepchildren; Mike & Angie Orchard. Diane was a driving instructor for over 30 years with Orchard's Driver's Education until she retired about 8 years ago. Diane's family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare where Diane lived for just over 2 years for the care shown to her especially in the last little while, it meant so much to all of them. In honouring Diane’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Port Dalhousie Br. # 350, 57 Lakeport Road, St. Catharines, where she & John were very involved as members for many years, will be announced in the future. Memorial donations to Royal Canadian Legion Port Dalhousie Br. # 350 would be appreciated.
