MATTE, Donald Joseph “Don”
Passed away at home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 70 years of age after a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Valerie (Scott) for 39 years and devoted Dad to Melody, Mackenzie and James Reid. Precious Papa to Micah. Don is survived by his brothers: Dennis (Marlene), Rick (Suzanne) and Claude (Theresa) and sisters-in-law: Lynda (Graham) Forsyth, Sandra (George) Cornell and Valerie’s parents, Helen and Warren Scott. Predeceased by his sister Mona Doughty and parents, Larry and Stella (Boisvert) Matte. Don was a self-employed entrepreneur in the Niagara Region for 28 years before retiring. In honouring Don's wishes, a private family service will take place in the summer. The family requests that memorial donations to honour Don's life be sent to London Health Sciences Foundation, Multi-Organ Transplant Program Research, 747 Baseline Road East, London, Ontario N6C 2R6.
