It is with heavy hearts that the family of George Szabo announce his passing on May 29th, 2021 in his 94th year. George leaves behind his devoted wife of 65 years Melitta, his daughter Marlene (Kevin) and his son Brian that will miss him dearly. He was a dear brother to Tony (Kathy). Predeceased by his parents George and Elizabeth, his siblings Anna and Joseph. George was born in Budaors Hungary on August 15, 1927. A man of endless energy and countless trades, always lending his family a helpful hand. He loved his peaceful garden, growing grapes, making his wine and sharing everything he grew with family and neighbors. In 2014 George suffered a stroke. A heartfelt thank you to his care partners, LHIN and his personal nursing team from St. Elizabeth's. Dad we know you are in a better place, walking again through the vineyards with your pigeons flying overhead, rabbits beside you and of course Rocky and Sassy. You will be missed and loved everyday. In honouring George’s wishes cremation has taken place.
