Obituary for Gordon Ronald Jensen
JENSEN, Gordon Ronald
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 22, 2022 at the age of 85. He is predeceased by his wife Dianna (May 22, 2021). Loving father of Gord Jr., Lee, Blake (Carrie). Much loved grandfather of Allison (Trevor), Austin, Jessi and Parker. Great grandfather to Ila. Survived by his siblings David (Karen), Karen (The late Darrell) and Nancy (Michael). Gord was born in Nova Scotia and was a true easterner who loved his seafood and fiddle music. Every summer was a trip down home to visit his beloved family. Gord worked for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines Inc. for many years until they closed their Canadian operations. He then joined A. Ghiendoni Haulage Ltd. where he worked until retirement. Gord was a dedicated truck driver and was honored with a safe driving award for over a million miles with no incidents. Many thanks to the health care providers whose care and support allowed Gord to be at home with his family. In remembrance of Gord's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to The Canadian Cancer Society. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
