Obituary

ASTON, Hilda Marie

“Have a party for me.”
These are Hilda Aston’s words. Hilda, “The Little General,” passed away on March 18, 2021. She was the youngest of 11 children and one tough French farm girl. She is separated for the first time from her best friend, her partner in marriage for 67 years, her loving handsome “Aston Honey,” Jack “JR” Aston. Together they raised four daughters — Tanis, Jody, Lisa, and Darcy — and thoroughly enjoyed their six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She Had Incredible Talent. We will always remember her as the crafty, tap dancing, golf loving gal. We love you very much our sweet guardian angel.
“It’s OK on my side, Jack.”

In honouring Hilda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144. Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca

Our sincere and Deepest Condolences to both Jack and his Family. Both Hilda and Jack worked for us for many years at Scenic Woods Golf Club. They were extremely dedicated workers who took a very keen interest in their responsibilities. They were also members at Our club for years. We think of them often and remember a lot of the fun times we had.
They were both the the closest thing to family that you can imagine . We certainly miss them, but know that Hilda will be smiling down from the Heavens and watching over her family as well as their many friends they made at not only the golf club, but also in their retirement community. One little antidote to add was Hilda was always picking up trash around the club, as if it was her own domain, and if she wasn’t doing that, she was planting little gardens throughout the golf club to add some beautiful spots throughout the property. When we’re out for walks at the club , we often picture her running around
and tidying things up. Hilda, we will all remember you for your kind words and thoughts and Love of life. Lovingly remembered by The Legato Family, Ron, Gail, Andrea and Jonathan
