Obituary for John Charles "Charlie" Cassidy

CASSIDY, John Charles “Charlie”

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family announces the passing of John Charles “Charlie” Cassidy. He passed peacefully at home with his loving wife, Veronica, by his side on January 13th. He is the dearly loved Dad to his daughter, Jane Marie and her husband Tim Page, and his boys; John and Michael and the late Joseph (Aug 2020). He will be the forever loved “Papa” of Katelyn Page, Charlie, Michael, Monica and Bridget Cassidy. Survived by his brothers; Billy (Rona) (Scotland), Joe (St. Catharines) and little sister, Monica (Allan) (Scotland), and extended family in the USA. Charlie was a very proud and founding member of the St. Catharines Celtic Supporters Club, an avid golfer and member of the Merritton Legion Br. # 138. Charlie came to Canada in 1972 with Veronica and their four children. They enjoyed a wonderful life together and had many fun trips to Myrtle Beach with their dearest friends, Edwin and Catherine Manning.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am St. Julia Roman Catholic Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue, on Wednesday, January 19th 2022.

Papa you will be with us always.
