November 15, 1940 – February 22, 2023
It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of John, with his devoted family by his side. Cherished husband of Margaret for 60 years, beloved father of Shelley Jones (Brian), Kevin (Terri) and Nancy Andrews. Adored Grandpa of Danielle, Katherine, Mitchell, Emma, Justin and Megan. Loved Great-Grandpa of Rachael and Kenneth. John is also survived by sister Nettie (Al) Zolotucha. John was a respected Supervisor at General Motors for over 40 years. In retirement, he had more time for bowling and golfing. His true love, besides his family was gardening, winning many Trillium Awards including the prestigious Mayor’s Award. In keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place to be followed by a private service to be held at a later date. Our family would like to thank Linhaven for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to Linhaven LTC Home in John’s memory would be appreciated.
