Sad to announce the passing of John McLean at the Henley House on Sunday November 27, 2022 at 91 years of age. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Joyce (nee Edwards). Loving father of Pauline (Brian) Lee, Nancy (Robert) Haines, Carole (Gord) Dick, David, Sharon (Edward) Hipwell, Douglas and the late John. Cherished grandfather of Amy, John, Jennifer, Kevin, Sara, Nick, Morgan, Eric, Marilyn, Chance, Paige-Violet, Ashley, Marshal, Jim and the late Justin. Loved great-grandfather of ten and great-great-grandfather of two. Predeceased by his sisters Kay Harding and Colleen Taylor. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Donny was a devote Catholic and long-standing parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas. He was most proud of his large family and loved when everyone could get together for family celebrations. He was a huge Star Trek fan and loved to watch the horse races. He had a cowboy heart and a gamblers spirit. In keeping with Donny’s wishes, a private family service and interment has taken place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
