Obituary for Marilyn Margaret Michelin (DeYoung)
MICHELIN, Marilyn Margaret (nee DeYoung) 1943-2023
It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Marilyn Michelin on May 1, 2023, at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital. Loving mother of Bill (Linda). Cherished grandmother of David (Nicole) and Daniel (Renée). She will be missed by her brothers; Jim (Joan), Wayne (Sandra), Doug (Ruth), her sister, Cathee (John), and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, James and May DeYoung.
Marilyn was a retired teacher for the Lincoln County Public School District. She was proud to have earned her pilot’s license and enjoyed flying Pipers. Other hobbies that kept her grounded were quilting, Bingo, softball and cheering on her favourite baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays.
A special thanks to Dr. Lee, the team at Walker Family Cancer Centre and the many PSW’s and health care providers for going that extra mile to provide the most compassionate care for Marilyn.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
