Obituary for Terry Edmonds

EDMONDS, Theresa (Terry) nee Doucette

1935-2022

Mom passed away at the St. Catharines Hospital in the early hours of January 15, 2022. Her death was sudden and unexpected.  She was born in Harper Road P.E.I.  in 1935 to her parents Charlie and Barb (Peters) Doucette, one of ten children. She is survived by her 4 children Deborah (Sonny) Wong, St. Catharines, Barbara (Paul) Sullivan, Millet AB., Joanne (Len) Thyer, Calgary AB and Peter (Pat) Edmonds Niagara On The lake.  She leaves behind her grandchildren, Deborah (Steven Alessandrini) Heezen Brooklin On., Robert (Melody Ogg) Laba, Guelph On., Jessica (Justin) Winter Calgary AB, and 5 great grandchildren, Rudy and Madelynn Heezen, Brooklin On., Regan Leger, Trail B.C., Jaymi Wrobel and Jaxton Winter, Calgary A.B.  Mom was predeceased by her parents, and siblings Russell, Millie, Phyllis, Jan, Betty, Gerald and Sid, also grandchildren Jason Wrobel and Melinda Leger.  She will be missed by her loving brother James (Linda) Doucette of Toronto, sister Sylvia (Reall) Altoft of St. Catharines and sister in law Marge Doucette.  Leaving a very large hole in the heart of Ron Hepburn.  He and Mom were very busy gallivanting and eating over the past 20 years or so.  There was never a day when they weren’t out for lunch, coffee, or a visit and chin wag with friends.  We thank him every day for his care and love.  Mom loved to play cards, go for long country drives, visit Port Dalhousie and sit at the stand up bar at RCL Branch #350. She had many friends who will remember her dancing with Uncle Bill, pulling Nevada tickets and laughing her face off.  Some of those friends have passed on, I’m sure they will be together again and waiting for the new Legion to open.  Please enjoy a glass of white wine, or a shot of Crown Royal, mom was partial to both, and think of a memory to make you smile.
In honouring Terry’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will have a graveside service at a later date. If so desired donations may be made to the Ontario Lung Association. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
