Obituary for Michael George Perreault

PERREAULT, Michael George

It is with heavy hearts, we share the passing of Michael (Mike) Perreault on January 11, 2024, at 72 years of age. Surrounded by his loving family, Mike succumbed to the aftermath of multiple strokes suffered on Christmas Day. Mike was the devoted husband of 47 years to Sandra Perreault and loving father to Carrie Perreault and Tiffany Perski (Rene). He was a passionate educator who dedicated 30 years teaching for the Hamilton-Wentworth School Board. His impact on the lives of countless students in his behaviour class at Hillcrest will be remembered fondly. Mike had a love for all things farming and was well known for his apple cider and apples, along with jam that he sold at the Purple Wagon Fruit Stand on Niagara Stone Road (Hwy 55). His time there was filled with storytelling and hours of conversations with strangers turned friends. Beyond his work, Mike found joy in extensive world travels, cheering for the Montreal Canadiens and his love for music from the 60s and 70s. A loyal fan, Mike was a familiar face at Niagara Ice Dogs’ games, holding season tickets and passionately supporting the team. A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held at Caroline Cellars (1010 Line 2 Road, Virgil, Ontario) on Sunday January 28, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and all are invited. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Greater Niagara General Hospital, for the extraordinary care Mike received. Mike will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and the warmth he brought to the lives of those around him. GO DOGS GO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.
