WASCHER, Nathaniel “Nate” Jacob
Passed away, at home on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 at the age of 18 after a courageous, year long battle with cancer.
Nate was born in St. Catharines on May 29th, 2002. He spent his childhood in Port Colborne, attending Oakwood Elementary and Lakeshore Catholic High School before returning to St. Catharines in 2018. He went on to graduate from Laura Secord Secondary School with honours, receiving the Scholars Award.
Nate was an avid fitness enthusiast, looking forward to an exciting career in the field. He loved weight training and was always anxious to get to the gym after school to pump some iron and get in a good workout. He was accepted into Durham College's fitness program for fall 2020 but decided to postpone due to Covid and his health.
Nate is survived by his parents, John & Amy, his siblings: Caleb, Nick, Grace and Chloe, his Opa and Nina, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He has been reunited in heaven with his Nana, Lillian Wascher. He will always be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, Nate had asked that donations be made in his memory to McMaster Children's Hospital.
