DUQUETTE, Roger Gaston
Passed away peacefully at NHS-St. Catharines Site on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 88 years of age. Roger was born in 1934 in Smooth Rock Falls in Northern Ontario. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lorraine (nee Fournier) in 1983. He leaves two beloved sons, Brian and Kevin. Predeceased by his brothers, Fern and Leo, and his sister, Yvette. Roger joined Atlas Steels in Welland after graduating from Ryerson University. During his 39 years with Atlas, Roger and his family had the opportunity to serve in Canada, Europe, Latin America and the US. In retirement Roger continued to play his favourite game of squash and took up boating, giving up on golf after many years of trying. Through his association with the missions team of his church, Harbour Fellowship Church, in St Catharines, Roger served with a Christian community in Nyahururu, Kenya.
In honouring Roger’s wishes a graveside service will be held at Fonthill Cemetery. Memorial donations to Harbour Fellowship Church-Lead Out would be appreciated.
