Obituary for Ruth Vera Dingman (Worley)

DINGMAN, Ruth Vera (nee Worley)

Passed away, peacefully, on December 22, 2022 in her 90th year. Cherished wife of Donald for 72 years. Dear mother of Ken and Glen and the late Donna Robertson (2009). Survived by her son-in-law, Lee Robertson. Grandmother of Kyle (Wendy) Dingman. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Many good times were had at the Dingman Ponderosa on Gregory Road where Don and Ruth spent many years tending their farm and hosting great get togethers full of laughter and great memories. Ruth was active in every way, she would knit, crochet, bake, prepare preserves; she made the best apple sauce around. Both she & Don bowled for many years and they could be found at the former C.A.W. Hall playing cards or organizing gatherings for the retirees. Her generous heart went out to the many animals they rescued and took care of over the years. There wasn’t a critter that showed up on the farm that they wouldn’t feed. Many of her needle point projects will be cherished by family and friends for years to come. In honouring Ruth’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at The Imperial Veteran’s Club, 15 George Street, St. Catharines. Memorial donations to the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by Ruth’s family. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144. Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
