BROWN, William Emerson “Bill” “Brownie”
It is with great sadness that the family of William/Bill/”Brownie” Emerson Brown, in his 90th year, announce his passing on March 20, 2022. Loving husband of Beverley (nee Piper) for 64 years; proud father of Carol (and Tim Phelan), William, Susan (and Chris Lewczynski), Gary (and Joey Williamson); proudest grandfather of Jessica and Carl, Jordan, Joel and Jade, Adam and Megan.
Besides his family, Brownie’s greatest interests were everything sports (especially as a baseball pitcher on many local teams and as a coach), gardening, travel, listening to music, watching/reading the news and learning … about everything and everyone! Brownie was a long-time employee of Conroy Manufacturing/Kelsey Hayes.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staffs of both Linhaven and Hotel Dieu Shaver for their loving care and compassion during Bill’s final years. In Bill’s honour, go for a bike ride, tend to a garden, feed the birds, enjoy a beer, share a joke, whistle a favourite tune, say hi to someone you don’t even know and remember that every day is a gift. If so desired, please consider making memorial donations to The Friends of Linhaven - Garden Beautification or to Hotel Dieu Shaver - Rehab Equipment.
Cremation has taken place. As per Bill’s wishes, a formal funeral service will be replaced by a celebration of life at a later date.
