JONES, William Allen

Devoted husband to Shirley. Loving father to Jason Jones, Ashley Jones (Kevin), Lindsay Courtney (Andrew), and Caitlyn White (Tim). Adoring grandfather to Paige, Lily, Scarlett and Liam. Brother to Alison Smith and Lee Jones. Predeceased by father Robert Jones, mother, Lena (Leigh) Jones and brothers; Tom Jones (twin) and Bob Jones. Bill loved taking trips with his Hunny in the winter to the Caribbean and spending time up north in the summer, rocking out at the trailer with the tunes blasting and the strobes flashing. He loved driving his boat out on Lake Nipissing and taking the kids out on the tube made him so happy. He had strong family values. He loved his family deeply and was very proud of them. He was a very selfless person, who only found happiness when the ones around him were happy. Bill was a genuine and caring man with the voice of reason. He gave a feeling of confirmation with his words. Bill was right even when he was wrong. A man with a wealth of experience and knowledge. He could tell you about any airplane in the sky, back up an 18 wheeler at the crack of dawn in New Jersey or about how a specific guitar was made. He had a great appreciation for music. He loved rock & roll and hair metal and saw many concerts in his life.
In honouring Williams’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144. Online condolences may be made at

I met Bill when Shirley brought him as her guest to my wedding over 19 years ago. I liked him as soon as I met him and when I seen them together I knew he would make my friend very happy and make her laugh alot. Thank you Bill! Shirley you and the family have so many beautiful cherished memories, so many great trips and thousands of pictures to always remember Bill. I pray that these will help you through your toughest days ahead. My deepest condolences and love to you all. xoxo

I love ya man.. it's going to be real tough without you. I learned so much from you about how to be a better person. You will always be a part of who I am, and I will forever remember all the good times we had. Not only have I lost the father figure I needed in my life, I lost a good friend. We will take good care of Shirley, whatever she needs we will make it happen.

I seen some old pictures of ya man.. when you in your early 20's.. never seen before was pretty cool ya hippy. The family and I will always remember you man, and I am very grateful to be apart of your life.

Caitlyn and I have been together since the beginning and you were always there man, you made an impact on her life too. She needed that big time. I remember the story you told me a million times how you guys finally got close. She loves you and misses you too man, same with Scarlett and Liam. Our family is shattered.

Love ya dude from the White House

First met William on Facebook,he recited a line from a David Bowie song.We went on for about 10 lines finishing lyrics from a Bowie tune.We became friends and he sent me a voice message. That was 3 months ago and we sent each other messages weekly. We connected on music, sports and views.Even though I never met William I felt I knew a little about. When he told me he had Covid I was optimistic, then when I didn't hear from him I thought he was recovering in hospital. When I saw the post that he had passed I was shocked and sad.So very sorry for your loss Shirley.I say that with a tear in eye and a heavy heart.RIP William I will miss our chats.
